It nessitates either wearing skirts or tucking your trousers into your boots, not as sartorially dodgy as it sounds, because otherwise your trousers would be turned an interesting shade of pooey brown. I stepped in what looked like ice today and ended up ankle deep in water, my waterproof boots performed admirably though!
